What is a full-body MRI?

An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) uses powerful magnets to create detailed images of the inside of your body. No radiation. No contrast dye. No needles. Just clarity, confidence, and early insights.
Our full-body scan covers 13 vital organs and systems, from your brain and spine to your heart, liver, kidneys, and major blood vessels. The images are reviewed by specialist Australian radiologists who look for signs that could be linked to over 500 conditions.
Most people have never seen inside their own body. This scan changes that.

Potential conditions our scan may help to reveal

In reviewing your scan, a specialist radiologist may see signs linked to over 500 conditions. Select an area to explore.
HEAD & NECK
The brain, its blood supply, and the surrounding structures. Some of the most consequential silent changes in the body can happen here.
Brain aneurysm
Silent stroke
Narrowed neck arteries
Growth on the pituitary gland
Tumour on the brain's outer lining
White matter damage in the brain
Early signs of Alzheimer's-related brain changes
Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck
Thyroid abnormalities

The heart, the aorta, and the major vessels around them. Structural changes here can develop without a single symptom.

Fluid around the heart
Aortic aneurysm or enlargement
Tear or damage in the aortic wall
Fluid around the lungs
Enlarged lymph nodes in the chest
Scarring of the heart muscle
ABDOMEN & PELVIS

Fat build-up in the liver
Liver scarring
Kidney tumours
Cysts on the pancreas
Bulge in the main abdominal artery
Enlarged spleen
Uterine fibroids
Enlarged prostate
Growths on the adrenal land
BLOOD VESSELS & CIRCULATION

Aortic aneurysm or enlargement
Brain aneurysm
Narrowed or diseased neck arteries
Tear in the neck artery wall
Compressed kidney vein
Vein compression in the pelvis
Progressive narrowing of brain arteries

Slipped disc
Narrowed spinal canal
Nerve compression
Spinal cord under pressure
Hip wear and tear
Inflammatory spinal arthritis
Reduced bone density
Shoulder impingement
WHOLE BODY SYSTEMS
Patterns that may only become visible when the whole picture is seen at once. The part of the scan no targeted imaging can replicate.
Excess fat around the organs
Widespread swollen lymph nodes
Signs of Lupus
Inflammatory muscle conditions
Combined risk factors for heart disease and diabetes
Signs of iron overload
Autoimmune hardening of organs and skin
The scan looks at body structures. A specialist radiologist may see signs that could be linked to these conditions. OneMRI does not diagnose. All findings are discussed in your post-scan consultation.

Is a full-body MRI scan right for you?

Our scan is for people who want a clearer picture of what's going on inside. Whether you're building a proactive health baseline, have a nagging concern you haven't been able to get to the bottom of, or carry a family history you'd rather not ignore, a full-body MRI may give you answers that routine tests often can't.
The scan isn't designed for people with acute symptoms needing urgent care, and it's not a replacement for your GP. Not sure if a full-body MRI is right for you? Take our quick quiz to find out.
You might be a good fit if:
You're over 30 and want a proper internal health baseline, not just blood tests and a GP check.
You've got family history of cancer, cardiovascular disease, or other hereditary conditions and you don't want to be blindsided.
You're health-conscious, you invest in your wellbeing, and a full-body scan feels like the logical next step.
You've had a nagging concern you can't get to the bottom of and want a comprehensive look rather than another inconclusive result.
You've had scans or tests before and still don't feel like you have the full picture.
You want peace of mind, and you'd rather know than not know.

What does the scan feel like?

For most people, the scan is surprisingly straightforward. You'll change into a gown, remove any metal, like jewellery, and lie on a comfortable bed that moves into the scanner. The machine makes some noise, a rhythmic knocking or humming, but it's not painful and most people find it easy to relax.
The scan takes around 60 minutes. Headphones or hearing protection is provided so you can listen to your favourite music or podcast, or just use the time to rest. When it's done, you're free to go about your day, no recovery time, no side effects.
Our clinical partners are experienced, trained radiographers who will guide you through every step and answer any questions on the day.

What you'll receive

Your scan doesn't end when you leave the clinic. Within a couple of weeks, you'll have a comprehensive radiologist-prepared report, a consultation with one of our doctors, and a complete set of your images, all yours to keep.
Your Radiologist Report
Every scan is reviewed by a specialist, AHPRA-registered Australian radiologist. Your report covers all areas scanned and clearly notes anything that may need attention, written in a way that's structured for a meaningful follow-up conversation with one of our doctors.
Your Results Consultation
This is where the real value lies. One of our doctors walks you through your report in plain language, no jargon, no rushed five-minute appointment. They'll explain what was seen, put it in context, and guide you to see your regular doctor if anything requires further investigation or monitoring.
Your Images
You'll receive your full set of scan images to keep. Thousands of detailed pictures of your internal anatomy - your personal health baseline to compare against over time. You can choose to share these with anyone you like, including your doctor.
Your Baseline
This is what most health checks don't give you. A full picture of your internal health at a single point in time, documented, yours to keep, and yours to build on. Whether your scan comes back clear or flags something worth following up, you leave knowing more than when you walked in. That knowledge is the foundation of genuinely proactive health, and the starting point for every health decision you make from here.
The goal isn't to hand you a report and send you on your way. It's to make sure you actually understand what it means, and feel genuinely informed and in control.
