Cardiac tumour

Chest

Tumours can occasionally develop in or around the heart. Most are noncancerous, but they can affect how the heart works depending on their size and location. An MRI may show changes in heart structure consistent with a cardiac tumour. Finding a cardiac tumour early allows for monitoring and treatment planning before it affects heart function.
