Lymphoma can present as enlarged lymph nodes in the neck before spreading further. Cervical lymphoma may be the first sign of a wider lymphoma condition. An MRI may show enlarged cervical lymph nodes with features consistent with lymphoma. Finding cervical lymphoma early may allow for systemic staging and treatment before widespread dissemination occurs. MRI is effective for characterising cervical lymph node disease and assessing extent of lymphomatous involvement in the neck.
