Craniopharyngioma

Head & Neck

A craniopharyngioma is a noncancerous but locally complex tumour that develops near the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. Despite being noncancerous it can affect nearby structures. An MRI may show changes in this region that could be associated with this type of tumour. Finding this type of tumour early may allow for treatment before it affects vision or hormone function.
