Frontotemporal dementia

Head & Neck

Frontotemporal dementia is a group of brain conditions caused by the worsening degeneration of the frontal and temporal lobes. It often develops before the age of 65 and can affect personality, behaviour, and language. An MRI may show characteristic patterns of brain atrophy consistent with frontotemporal dementia. Finding changes associated with frontotemporal dementia early may support faster diagnosis and access to specialist care and planning.
