Hydrocephalus

Head & Neck

Hydrocephalus happens when fluid builds up inside the spaces of the brain, putting pressure on surrounding tissue. It can develop gradually and go unnoticed for some time. An MRI may show changes in the size of these fluid spaces. Identifying fluid build-up early may allow for treatment before pressure causes lasting damage.
