Hypopituitarism is a condition where the pituitary gland does not produce enough of one or more hormones. It can develop gradually and cause a range of subtle symptoms. An MRI may show changes in the pituitary gland consistent with reduced function or a structural abnormality. Finding structural changes associated with hypopituitarism early allows for hormonal assessment and possible replacement therapy.
