Lymphangioleiomyomatosis is a uncommon condition where abnormal muscle-like cells grow in the lungs and lymphatic system, primarily affecting women. It can progress slowly and go undetected for years. An MRI may show changes in lung structure consistent with this condition. Early detection allows for monitoring and treatment that may help slow lung function decline.
