Neurofibromatosis

Head & Neck
Whole Body Systems

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic condition that causes noncancerous tumours to grow along nerves throughout the body. It can affect the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. An MRI may show multiple nerve-associated growths or changes consistent with this condition. Early identification allows for monitoring of tumour growth and management of any complications as they arise.
