Oesophageal stricture

Chest

An oesophageal stricture is a narrowing of the food pipe that can make swallowing gradually more difficult. It can develop from ongoing reflux, inflammation, or other causes. An MRI may show changes in the oesophageal lining and surrounding structures consistent with narrowing. Finding an oesophageal stricture early may allow for treatment before swallowing difficulties become severe. Endoscopy is the primary tool for oesophageal assessment, however MRI contributes to evaluation of surrounding structures.

SCReening explained
It’s important to understand that OneMRI's full-body scan is a general proactive health scan developed to include areas where preventative screening delivers the most meaningful insight in a way that is safe and non-invasive. The scan should be used to compliment other routine scans and screening. It should not replace standard screening protocols or targeted procedures as recommended by your doctor, specialist or health provider. Examples of these include mammogram, prostate examination, cervical screening, colonoscopy, and lung cancer screening.
