Pseudotumour cerebri

Head & Neck

Pseudotumour cerebri, also called idiopathic intracranial hypertension, is a condition where pressure inside the skull is raised without an obvious cause. It can cause headaches and vision changes. An MRI may show changes consistent with raised pressure inside the skull. Finding pseudotumour cerebri early may allow for treatment to reduce intracranial pressure before vision is permanently affected.
