Pulmonary nodules

Chest

Pulmonary nodules are small rounded spots that can appear in the lung tissue. Most are noncancerous and found unexpectedly, but some may warrant further investigation. An MRI may show changes in lung tissue consistent with the presence of nodules. Finding pulmonary nodules early allows for monitoring to track any changes in size or appearance over time. CT is generally the preferred tool for detailed lung nodule assessment, however MRI may show notable changes in this region.
