Tracheal tumour

Chest

Tumours can develop in the trachea, the main airway connecting the throat to the lungs. They are uncommon but can grow slowly before causing breathing symptoms. An MRI may show a mass in or near the trachea consistent with a tumour. Finding a tracheal tumour early may allow for treatment before it causes significant airway obstruction.
