Hepatic artery aneurysm

Blood Vessels & Circulation
Abdomen & Pelvis

A hepatic artery aneurysm is a bulge in the artery supplying the liver. It can rupture and cause serious internal bleeding. An MRI may show a focused widening of the hepatic artery consistent with an aneurysm. Finding a hepatic artery aneurysm early may allow for surgical repair before it ruptures.
