Iliac artery aneurysm

Blood Vessels & Circulation
Abdomen & Pelvis

An iliac artery aneurysm is a bulge in one of the arteries that supply blood to the legs and pelvis. Most grow slowly and cause no symptoms. An MRI may show a focused widening of the iliac artery consistent with an aneurysm. Finding an iliac artery aneurysm early allows for monitoring and may allow for intervention before it reaches a size that poses serious risk.
