Brachial plexus injury

Musculoskeletal & Spine

The brachial plexus is a network of nerves that control movement and sensation in the arm. Injuries or compressions to this network can cause weakness or numbness in the arm and hand. An MRI may show changes in the brachial plexus region consistent with nerve injury or compression. Finding brachial plexus changes early may allow for treatment before permanent nerve damage affects arm function.
