Cervical facet syndrome

Musculoskeletal & Spine

Cervical facet syndrome is pain arising from the small joints at the back of the cervical, or neck, spine. It can cause neck pain and headaches and develops gradually with age. An MRI may show changes in the cervical facet joints consistent with degeneration. Finding cervical facet changes early allows for targeted treatment that may help manage pain before it becomes chronic.
