Cervical spine tumour

Musculoskeletal & Spine

Tumours in the cervical, or neck, spine can develop in the vertebrae or adjacent soft tissue. They may grow slowly and cause subtle neurological symptoms before being identified. An MRI may show changes in the cervical spine consistent with a tumour. Finding a cervical spine tumour early may allow for treatment before it causes spinal cord compression or neurological damage.
