An enchondroma is a noncancerous cartilage tumour that develops inside a bone. Most cause no symptoms and are found unexpectedly. An MRI may show a cartilage-containing mass within a bone consistent with an enchondroma. Finding an enchondroma allows for monitoring to ensure it remains stable and does not undergo any changes.
