Paget's disease of bone is a long-term condition where the normal cycle of bone renewal is disrupted, causing bones to become enlarged and weakened. It can affect one or several bones. An MRI may show changes in bone structure consistent with Paget's disease. Finding Paget's disease early may allow for treatment to help slow bone changes and reduce the risk of complications such as fractures or nerve compression.
