A spinal cord glioma is a tumour that develops from the support cells within the spinal cord. It can grow slowly and cause worsening neurological symptoms. An MRI may show changes within the spinal cord consistent with a glioma. Finding a spinal cord glioma early may allow for treatment before it causes significant neurological damage.
