An adrenal cyst is a fluid-filled sac on one of the adrenal glands. Most are harmless and found unexpectedly on imaging. An MRI may show a fluid-filled structure on the adrenal gland as an incidental finding. Finding an adrenal cyst allows for monitoring to ensure it remains stable and does not affect adrenal function.
