An adrenal myelolipoma is a noncancerous tumour on the adrenal gland made up of fat and bone marrow-like tissue. Most cause no symptoms and are found unexpectedly on imaging. An MRI may show a fatty mass on the adrenal gland consistent with a myelolipoma. Finding an adrenal myelolipoma allows for confirmation of its noncancerous nature and monitoring if it is large.
