Benign prostatic hyperplasia

Abdomen & Pelvis

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that commonly develops in men with age. It can cause urinary symptoms but often goes unnoticed in earlier stages. An MRI may show changes in prostate size consistent with enlargement. Finding an enlarged prostate early allows for monitoring and management before urinary symptoms become significant.
