Chronic fatigue syndrome - structural findings

Whole Body Systems
Head & Neck

While chronic fatigue syndrome is mainly a clinical diagnosis, MRI can identify structural brain changes that may be linked to this condition, including white matter changes and altered patterns in how the brain is supplied with blood. An MRI may show subtle brain changes in some individuals with chronic fatigue syndrome. Finding structural brain changes associated with chronic fatigue syndrome may provide objective evidence to support diagnosis and management.

SCReening explained
It’s important to understand that OneMRI's full-body scan is a general proactive health scan developed to include areas where preventative screening delivers the most meaningful insight in a way that is safe and non-invasive. The scan should be used to compliment other routine scans and screening. It should not replace standard screening protocols or targeted procedures as recommended by your doctor, specialist or health provider. Examples of these include mammogram, prostate examination, cervical screening, colonoscopy, and lung cancer screening.
