Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is the most common type of aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It can develop rapidly in lymph nodes or organs throughout the body. An MRI may show enlarged lymph nodes or organ changes consistent with this type of lymphoma. Finding diffuse large B-cell lymphoma early may allow for prompt treatment before it spreads widely. MRI is used for local staging of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, particularly for CNS and organ involvement. PET-CT is typically used for systemic staging.
