Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

Whole Body Systems
Musculoskeletal & Spine

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of hereditary conditions affecting connective tissue throughout the body. It can cause joint instability, vascular fragility, and organ complications. An MRI may show changes in spinal structures, joints, and organs consistent with connective tissue abnormality. Finding structural changes associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome allows for management of complications including spinal instability and vascular risk.
