Multiple endocrine neoplasia

Whole Body Systems

Multiple endocrine neoplasia is a group of genetic conditions that cause tumours in two or more endocrine glands including the parathyroid, pituitary, and pancreas. An MRI may show changes in multiple endocrine glands consistent with tumour development. Finding tumours associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia early may allow for treatment before they cause hormonal complications.
