Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1

Whole Body Systems
Head & Neck, Abdomen & Pelvis

Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 is a hereditary condition causing tumours in the parathyroid glands, pituitary, and pancreas. An MRI may show changes in these glands consistent with tumour development. Finding tumours associated with MEN1 early may allow for treatment before they cause hormonal complications or grow significantly.
