An ovarian cystadenoma is a noncancerous cystic tumour that develops on the surface of the ovary. They can grow large over time and may cause discomfort. An MRI may show a cystic ovarian mass consistent with a cystadenoma. Finding an ovarian cystadenoma early allows for monitoring and surgical removal before it grows large enough to cause complications.
