Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop on or inside the ovaries. They are very common and most resolve on their own without causing problems. An MRI may show cystic changes in the ovaries as an incidental finding. Identifying ovarian cysts allows for monitoring to ensure they resolve or remain stable over time.
