An ovarian fibroma is a noncancerous solid tumour of the ovary. Most are found unexpectedly and cause no symptoms. An MRI may show a solid ovarian mass consistent with a fibroma. Finding an ovarian fibroma allows for monitoring and surgical removal if it grows large enough to cause symptoms.
