Pancreatic cysts are fluid-filled pockets that develop in or on the pancreas. Most are harmless but some types have the potential to develop into cancer over time. An MRI may show cystic changes in the pancreas that warrant monitoring. Identifying pancreatic cysts early allows for monitoring to detect any changes before they progress.
