A pelvic lymphocele is a collection of lymphatic fluid that builds up in the pelvis, often following surgery. It can develop gradually and may go unnoticed. An MRI may show a fluid collection in the pelvis consistent with a lymphocele. Finding a pelvic lymphocele allows for monitoring and drainage if it causes symptoms or puts pressure on nearby structures.
