Renal cysts

Abdomen & Pelvis

Renal cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop in the kidneys. Simple cysts are extremely common and almost always harmless. An MRI may show cystic changes in one or both kidneys as an incidental finding. Identifying renal cysts allows for classification and monitoring, particularly for complex cysts that may need further assessment.
