Testicular cancer

Abdomen & Pelvis

Testicular cancer develops in the testicles and is one of the most common cancers in younger men. It can sometimes be found unexpectedly on imaging that includes the pelvis. An MRI may show changes in testicular tissue that could be associated with abnormal growth. Finding testicular cancer early, when it is localised, may give excellent treatment outcomes. Ultrasound is the primary tool for testicular assessment, however MRI may show pelvic changes.
