Vesicoureteral reflux

Abdomen & Pelvis

Vesicoureteral reflux is a condition where urine flows backwards from the bladder into the ureters and kidneys. It can lead to ongoing kidney infections and progressive kidney damage. An MRI may show changes in the urinary tract consistent with this condition. Finding vesicoureteral reflux early may allow for management to help protect kidney function and reduce the risk of recurrent infections.
