A VIPoma is an uncommon pancreatic tumour that produces excess vasoactive intestinal peptide, causing severe watery diarrhoea and electrolyte imbalances. An MRI may show a mass in the pancreas consistent with a VIPoma. Finding a VIPoma early may allow for surgical treatment before it causes serious electrolyte complications.
