Von Hippel-Lindau disease

Whole Body Systems

Von Hippel-Lindau disease is a genetic condition that causes tumours and fluid-filled sacs to develop in multiple organs including the brain, spine, kidneys, and adrenal glands. An MRI may show characteristic tumours or cysts in multiple locations consistent with this condition. Finding Von Hippel-Lindau related changes early may allow for treatment of tumours before they grow or cause complications. MRI is the preferred surveillance modality for Von Hippel-Lindau disease, enabling monitoring of multiple organ systems including the brain, spine, and kidneys.

SCReening explained
It’s important to understand that OneMRI's full-body scan is a general proactive health scan developed to include areas where preventative screening delivers the most meaningful insight in a way that is safe and non-invasive. The scan should be used to compliment other routine scans and screening. It should not replace standard screening protocols or targeted procedures as recommended by your doctor, specialist or health provider. Examples of these include mammogram, prostate examination, cervical screening, colonoscopy, and lung cancer screening.
