Waldenström macroglobulinaemia is a uncommon blood cancer that produces large amounts of an abnormal protein. It can affect the bone marrow, lymph nodes, and spleen. An MRI may show changes in bone marrow and lymphoid tissue consistent with this condition. Finding Waldenström macroglobulinaemia early may allow for treatment before it causes significant symptoms or organ complications.
